My living and dining area is nearing completion. Here on the Interior Blog, I took you on this journey in the Living room category. Today I would like to introduce you to the details that make this part of the room feel even more homey. This includes, for example, a floral subscription. So grab a cup of coffee or tea and feel invited to take a seat in my living and dining area.
Flowers subscription from bloomon: How to arrange my flowers on the dining table
Flowers are a wonderful way to make the dining table look inviting. I for one, love floral arrangements that are fancy and unique. The bouquet I placed on my table is as colorful as my picture wall. The flowers are from bloomon. There you can choose between sending flowers or a flower subscription. Second guarantees you that your dining table is never again naked in front of the when you expect guests. Much more, your dining table becomes an eye-catcher and in a good mood it cackles twice as good at a delicious meal with family and friends.
How to arrange your flowers correctly
Before we put the flowers in the vase, there are a few precautions that need to be taken. For one thing, the flowers need their nourishment so that you can enjoy them for a long time. On the other hand, they still need to be shortened a little. Fill the vase of your choice one third full with lukewarm water and add some flower fertiliser. Then cut the stems off by about a centimetre. This will make it easier for the flowers to absorb water and you will be able to enjoy them for much longer.
The flower arrangement
Arranging flowers is quite simple if you know how to do it. And that’s exactly what I’m going to tell you now.
- Sorting flowers: Before we start plucking the flowers into shape, please sort them by size. Divide the flowers into three categories: short, medium and long stems.
- Form a stable base: this consists of four medium-length, strong stems. Place them crosswise in the vase.
- Fill up the frame: Now arrange the short and medium length stems. Make sure that they lean against the flower frame.
- Create length: Finally, insert the long stems into the vase. Place them in the middle to create height.
That wasn’t so hard. Wasn’t it? Now you just have to find a suitable place for your flowers. I wish you lots of fun. And don’t forget to change the water every three days so that you can enjoy your flowers for a long time.
Pictures and decorative elements in the living and dining room
Besides the flowers, there are also pictures and some decorative elements, such as vases and candles, which beautify my living and dining area. I created the picture wall in retro style. It’s bright and vibrant and gives the room an eye catching moment. That’s exactly why I held back on decorating vases. And only set discreet details.
